Golding recognises we are part of the communities in which we work and live. We take pleasure in sharing our success by supporting these communities as well as national fund raising initiatives.
Golding and Salvation Army Employment Plus
Golding and The Salvation Army Employment Plus work together on projects
that create training and employment opportunities in Queensland
communities.
This partnership has been recognised by The Salvation Army Employment Plus
in their "Thanks Half a Million!" campaign, a celebration of the work with
jobseekers and businesses that contributed to placing 500,000 people in
work.
The Salvation Army Employment Plus spokesperson Kirrilee Trist says, "We
have been delighted to work with Golding on so many fruitful projects in
Queensland.
"We especially value their generosity and community-minded, zero-harm
approach."
Mt Perry Truck Pull
 Golding is a proud sponsor of the annual Dump Truck Pull held at Mt Perry. It raises funds for the Youth Focus charity organisation which assists with suicide prevention for at-risk youths. Golding donates use of the 90 tonne dump truck and organises the event which benefits not only the youth in Mt Perry, Gin Gin and Bundaberg but is helping these communities to become suicide safer.
Relay for Life
Golding is a regular participant in this charity walk and run for the Queensland Cancer Fund.
Shave for a Cure
Golding employees often go bald and colourful for this well-known fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Gladstone Community Support
Golding has over many years been a strong supporter of the Gladstone community, maintaining important links with many of the key community groups.
 Gladstone Harbour Festival
The annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht race culminates in the week-long Gladstone Harbour Festival. Golding is a staunch supporter of the festival having provided all courtesy cars for the festival for many years. We also sponsor festival queen entrants, talent quests and music concerts.
Education
Golding has donated and built sports fields for two Gladstone high schools, and contributes to the education of local children with the provision of classroom air conditioning, play area shade covers and boosts to fundraisers such as fetes and events.
Sport
Golding sponsors many sporting clubs and events in central Queensland as well as supporting individual athletes representing Queensland and Australia.
Entertainment
Golding regularly sponsors shows and musicals in the Gladstone area produced by local children and theatre groups.
Gladstone Motorworld Charity Ball
Golding supports this annual event which raises money for children and families with special needs in the Gladstone area.
Seniors Support
Golding has contributed significantly to construction of a number of Gladstone retirement villages.
