CEO’s Welcome

We are pleased to welcome you to the Golding website. We may be a major mining and civil works company involved in billion dollar projects but we have never lost sight of Cyril Golding's founding values of honesty and integrity and a demonstrated concern for workmates and clients. This ethical platform underpins the fine company which our new owners CHAMP Private Equity will take into the future. After 66 years, these values are “built into” the Golding culture and therefore lived on a daily basis. I can truly say this is not something I have found in other companies.

The Golding culture helps explain why more than half our projects are repeat business with clients who have worked with us over many years, in some cases several decades. Our culture of genuine respect for each person and their contribution, be they worker, client or community member, underlies our way of working. It has been translated into a safety program that has won excellence awards and created an environment of open communication where new ideas are heard and innovation flourishes. It is not surprising, then, that many of our employees have been with us for 10 or more years, with some for more than 30 years.

I am proud, too, of Golding's record as a generous contributor to community and charitable causes. Golding supports young people in the arts, academia and sport to reach their potential; sponsors community initiatives and is happy to partner our clients in their community projects. This approach means that our company truly is part of the communities within which we operate and to whom we owe our success.
