Subdivisions and developments
Port of Airlie
Golding has recently completed the civil and marine works including sheet piling, earthen bunding, earthworks and services for the construction of the Port of Airlie Development. The development will include a 240 berth marina, 365 apartments, a 140 room hotel, and ferry and bus passenger terminals.
This environmentally sensitive project required extensive liaison with government agencies to monitor water quality, log noise data and conduct wildlife surveys. Golding created sea walls to allow deep excavation in the dry bay without tidal influence, and facilitated the safe removal of over 3000 fish from the marina before its drainage.
Sovereign Islands Stages 3 to 6
Golding constructed revetment walls and channels for this prestige residential estate on the Gold Coast. Work included the bridge construction, dredging and civil infrastructure for housing blocks. This environmentally sensitive development relied on close contact with the EPA and included acid sulphate soil management and constant water quality monitoring.
Harbour Quays Canal Estate
This 200 block Gold Coast canal estate has been constructed over a two year period. It commenced with elaborate kangaroo and koala relocation procedures initiated by Lewis Land some years beforehand and continuing until clearing was completed. Construction involved 4.5 km of revetment wall, canal excavation and erection of three bebo arch bridges to form the two exclusive islands and surrounding area. It is a model project with respect to the use of recycled water.
Banksia Lakes, Sanctuary Cove
This exclusive subdivision development included 7 stages of lakeside residential lots, construction of a new entry road and lakes. It also incorporated a golf course, including the development of two golf holes, along with the realignment of the remaining 16 holes.
Alpinia Estate
This project for Mulpha Sanctuary Cove incorporated bulk earthworks, drainage, sewer, water and road construction. Silt curtains have been employed on drainage outlets into the existing canal, to protect the environment.
Cova Marina Subdivision
The Cova Marina Development, another Gold Coast project involved a residential subdivision in a marina estate with direct access to the Broadwater. The scope of works included service roads and major stormwater structures. As part of the successful project delivery Golding managed the coordination challenges of deep excavation for services, bulk excavation and the management of acid sulphate soils.
South Hill Precinct
The new South Hill Precinct industrial estate was built adjacent to the Gold Coast railway duplication project within a developed precinct of Robina. The project involved sourcing and supplying imported fill, and the construction of reinforced earth retaining walls, as well as the typcial subdivision roadworks and services.
