Halcyon Greens
Located at Gainsborough Greens, Pimpama, Halcyon Greens is Australia’s first over 50’s golf and residential community. There is a total of 400 unit sites to be developed on the site.
Golding were engaged by Halcyon Developments in September 2016 to fast track the bulk earthworks across the site to allow Stage 1 Civil works to commence January 2017. Golding completed 495,000m3 of bulk earthworks in nine weeks which involved cut to fill on the site that is surrounded by an environmentally sensitive wetlands area.
In addition to the cut to fill, underlying compressible soils required a combination of treatment and preloading to complete the building platforms and potentially acid sulphate soils required neutralisation by treatment with agricultural lime.
Works are being staged and coordinated with Halcyon Developments and their builders to allow early access to unit sites which has substantially reduced timing for settlements of the units. Stages 1 to 4 have now been completed, delivering 380 of a total of 400 units sites.
