GAWB – offline water storage facility
In February 2017, GAWB, Queensland engaged Golding to construct a 12ML offline water storage facility which includes civil, building, mechanical and electrical works.
The civil works included a zoned earthen dam embankment, reinforced concrete spillway, shotcrete batter protection, large reinforced concrete pits, MSCL and Sintakote watermains up to 1290dia and upgrade of the TMR Benaraby Road/Skyring Hill Road intersection and safe intersection sight distance works.
The building works included construction of the pump station, control room and switch room.
The mechanical and electrical works were Design and Construct and include all HV and LV electrical works, instrumentation and controls design and supply, installation, commissioning and training associated with the pump station.
